GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST IN ENGINEERING (GATE)
WHAT IS GATE:-
Admission to Post Graduate courses with MHRD Scholarship/
Assistantship in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy at Engineering Collage/Institute in the Country will open only to those who qualify through GATE. Some Engineering Colleges/ Institutes specify GATE is mandatory qualification even for admission of students post graduate Programs Examination held in month of February every year.
PLAN OF THE EXAMINATION :-
All the candidates for GATE will appear in a single papers of 3 hours of their branch and of 150 marks.
Nature of questions will be objective.
Negative marking for wrong answers.
In optional paper aspirants may choose any one of given below
subject, according their academic background.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engg./Tech./Arch./Ph. and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programs.
2. Master degree in science /Maths/ Stats/Computers or
equivalent.
3. Candidates who are in the final year of integrated master’s degree program (Post B.Sc.) in Engg./Tech.
4. Candidates who qualify B.E., B. Tech or equivalent program from ant institution approved by IPSC/AICTE.
